The VulkaMaar Trail in stages

The VulkaMaar Trail runs as a loop around Manderscheid and Meerfeld through the Vulkaneifel. We walked it across two days — a good 33 kilometres and around 860 metres of climbing.

The stages

Day 1 — Manderscheid to Meerfeld

A really great walk that I got to do with my family. I wouldn't recommend it in slippery conditions — several sections need sure-footing. But yesterday it was wonderful.

Day 2 a — Meerfeld to Manderscheid
