How we make money

This site is funded via two channels: affiliate links to retailers like Amazon, and eventually classic display ads. Both are clearly marked in the page layout.

How we test gear

We test gear we either bought ourselves or received from manufacturers as samples. A sample is never a condition for a positive review — anyone showing up with that expectation gets silence. Negative or neutral observations are reported as honestly as positive ones.
